Drainage Network Operative
Drainage Network Operatives maintain sewerage systems in domestic and commercial settings and private and public drainage systems, including highways. They use various equipment and vehicles to quickly respond to and investigate drainage issues whilst adhering to operating procedures with health and safety as a priority.
Gateway Requirements
- Apprentices must have compiled and submitted an EPA Portfolio which the question and answer session will be based on.
- Apprentices must have achieved English and maths qualifications in line with the apprenticeship funding rules.
The Assessment
Apprentices will be assessed by EUIAS assessors, and EUIAS approved employer assessors.
- Observation with questions (3 hours). The apprentice undertakes work as part of their normal duties, in the workplace. We will work with customers to ensure that the Observation provides apprentices with the opportunity to achieve all the required elements of the assessment.
- Question and answer session based on an EPA Portfolio (60 minutes, minimum 6 questions).
- Multiple-choice test (25 questions, 60 minutes).
