EUIAS approved to deliver Engineering Construction Pipefitter
The Energy & Utilities Independent Assessment Service (EUIAS) is now approved to deliver end-point assessment for the Engineering Construction Pipefitter Level 3 standard.
The Pipefitter is a vital Engineering Construction role, working within strictly defined processes and procedures to exacting standards. This often involves working on major infrastructure projects, for example power stations and oil and gas facilities.
This is the 12th standard the EUIAS is approved to deliver end-point assessment for. The service was established in 2014 in response to employers in the energy and utilities sector looking for a robust and high-quality assessment service for their technical apprenticeships working in safety critical industries.
Bernie Zakary, Head of the EUIAS, said:
“We are very pleased to now offer end-point assessment for the Engineering Construction Pipefitter standard. We continually review the list of standards we are approved to deliver end-point assessment for to ensure we meet our customers’ needs in the energy and utilities sector and beyond. Technical and safety apprenticeship standards are key to delivering the country’s infrastructure plans and we look forward to partnering with more employers and colleges to guide them through the process.”
The EUIAS recommends employers and FE Colleges appoint an end-point assessment organisation at the start of the apprenticeship, so all parties are clear on what is expected. Once appointed, the EUIAS will provide employers and colleges with guidance materials and training to support them throughout the apprenticeship journey, making sure they are supported throughout.
