MOET – Changes to End-Point Assessment Plan
Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician (MOET)
Changes to End-Point Assessment Plan – v1.4 for existing EUIAS Customers
IfATE confirmed that from the 26th September 2024 a revised version of the End-Point Assessment plan Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician MOET apprenticeship standard is available.
The primary change in Version 1.4 is:
- At the final stage of the end-point assessment process, one independent technical expert will conduct a technical interview rather than the previous requirement for two.
As a result of the above change apprenticeship providers can decide to assign the new version of the standard to existing apprentices who are yet to submit Gateway evidence on ACE 360 but will need to:
- Amend the entry in ACE 360 to Version 1.4
All new apprentices starting on Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician will be registered on the ILR and ACE 360 for Version 1.4 of the standard,
Where providers elect to assign Version 1.4 prior to Gateway the price charged by EUIAS for the End-Point Assessment will be £2275 per apprentice rather than the previous £2750 realising a saving of £475.
MOET Roadshows
Following the success of our MOET Roadshows in Manchester and Birmingham earlier this year, Energy & Utility Skills are excited to announce four additional events in November in Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham and London.
These upcoming sessions will expand on the topics covered previously, offering the latest updates on the new Engineering Maintenance Technician (EMT) apprenticeship standards, which will be replacing MOET as it ends in 2025.
The roadshows are a great opportunity to stay up to date on the latest developments, understand the implications of the new standards, and start planning for the impact on your delivery and customers.
