1,500 Apprentice Achievements and Counting
The Energy & Utilities Independent Assessment Service (EUIAS) is proud to represent the energy and utilities sector in delivering high quality End-Point Assessments for Technical and Safety Critical Apprenticeships.
As we celebrate we are delighted to announce that this month will see the 1,500th apprentice successfully complete their end-point assessment with the EUIAS. It is less than one year since the EUIAS was celebrating the 1,000th achievement, having achieved the very first end-point assessment in the country back in May 2016. And it won’t be long before the 2,000 figure is reached – 2020 is set to be a big year for the EUIAS.
The EUIAS is leading the way for the sector in the end-point assessment of apprentices across the power, gas, water and waste industries. Successes have included:
- Graduating the first female Smart Meter apprentice through its end-point assessment service.
- Celebrating the 500-mark of apprentices completing end-point assessment at a special event at the House of Lords in October 2018.
- In 2019, the service passed its 1000th apprentice
- Facilitating Trailblazer groups to develop new Apprenticeship Standards
During 2020, the EUIAS will consolidate their position as the premium end-point assessment organisation for the power, gas, water and waste industries as well as expanding their footprint into other technical and safety-critical specialist areas. There will be updated end-point assessments for the revised Utilities Engineering Technician as well as provision for the brand-new Level 2 Operative Standards for gas, water and power. In addition, the EUIAS has just been approved to offer the level 3 Engineering Construction Pipefitter end-point assessment.
Bernard Zakary, Head of EUIAS commented:
“We are continuing to provide excellent customer service for our employers, training providers and their apprentices, and will be enhancing our service with the introduction of a new technology platform during 2020. This will provide customers with a full range of self-service features from initial registration to completion all under-pinned by an unrivalled Help Desk support service.”
