First Dual Fuel Smart Meter Installer Apprenticeship Graduation
The Energy & Utilities Independent Assessment Service has applauded the graduation of the first apprentices in England to complete the Dual Fuel Smart Meter Installer Apprenticeship Standard.
E.ON selected Energy & Utilities Independent Assessment Service to provide end-point assessment. End-point assessment allows apprentices to demonstrate that they have the knowledge, skills and behaviours to do the job they have trained for as defined in the standard.
The apprentices, now full-time Smart Metering Technicians at E.ON, all completed the Level 2 apprenticeship, which is a one-year course comprising of classroom study and on the job learning.
The graduates included the first female apprentice to achieve the apprenticeship standard, Zoe Finch. She is pictured above (2nd left) with behind (left to right) E.ON’s then-Chief Executive Tony Cocker, Nick Ellins, Energy & Utility Skills’ Chief Executive and E.ON’s UK HR Director Dave Newborough. Behind them are graduate apprentices Michael Charlton, Matthew Zeller, Ben Mitchelmore and Dean Walker.
The event took place at E.ON’s UK headquarters in Coventry.
